What actually happens here.

No forced fun, no networking mixers with lanyards. Three standing traditions, and the rest happens on its own around the kitchen table.

Tuesdays, 12:30

Lunch club

One long table. Somebody cooks or somebody orders, the $8 jar covers it, and new faces get served first.

First Thursday, 6pm

Demo night

Five demos, five minutes each, real applause. Ship something small and show it. Pizza after, always.

Weekdays before 10

Quiet hours

The floor runs like a library until ten. Calls live in the booths, and the grinder is the loudest thing in the room.

Rooms by the hour

Need a room, not a desk?

Non-members can book both rooms. The Galley seats four with a whiteboard wall and runs $30 an hour. The Press Room seats ten with a screen and camera for $60. Weekdays 9 to 5, coffee included.

Book a day ahead at rooms@commons.example with a date and a headcount.

Book a tour

Come see it at working speed.

Tours run weekdays at 10:00 and 3:00 and take about twenty minutes: the floor, the booths, the rooms, the coffee. You'll leave with a day pass on us, no pitch attached.

Fair questions.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes. Guests are welcome in the kitchen and lounge for up to two hours, free. If they need a desk for the day, that's a $25 day pass. Dedicated members get four guest passes a month.

What are the printing limits?

Every membership includes 200 black-and-white pages a month, which almost nobody hits. Color is 10 cents a page on the honor system. The jar lives next to the printer, and yes, it balances.

Parking and transit?

The B line stops at Harwick Green, two blocks north. The lot next door is $6 a day with validation from reception. The bike room is free and has a pump and a spare tube that usually comes back.

Can I take calls at my desk?

Short ones, with headphones, sure. Anything past ten minutes moves to a booth, and there are six. Before 10am the floor keeps quiet hours, so morning calls start in a booth.
